Hi my name is Sammie and I am a beautiful 'older' girl - actually I prefer to say "young lady" as I am only approximately 2 years old. I was rescued with three of my surviving babies (Lucie, Sally, and Marcie), during one of the 'coldest' of our 'cold snaps' and it is truly a miracle I survived as I have short fur. So what I 'had on' was similar to you wearing a t-shirt at -40C (pretty cold hey?). Since my rescue, I have grown to love all the creature comforts I am getting. I LOVE being warm, having a nice soft bed is like a dream come true, and regular meals are fantastic!!
My foster mom says I am a very quiet girl, a little shy, but full of love once I get to know you. YES I love attention, but I am not pushy for it, and am quite content to nap on my bed if you are busy. Cuddling on the bed is like heaven, but I have no problem sleeping in a kennel at night, and quite often you can find me having a siesta in there during the day.
Although I am very quiet and calm in the house, I is no couch potato!! I love to go for walks, I have excellent leash manners (with the odd gentle reminder not to pull). Did you know that at my house, going for a car ride takes me to the to the offleash park?!! I jump in eagerly anticipating my chance to really 'let loose'! I do very well meeting other dogs, neither intimidated by them nor bossy to them. I has recently discovered the joy of playing with my foster home's dogs, I love to run, I love to chase, and I love to tease the border collie over his ball. I play with it with my feet but I don't pick it up but he finds it annoying anyway.
I truly am a very sweet, low maintenence kind of girl. My coat is always perfect, I never leave a mess when I eat, I always goes outside to do my business and would make someone a great jogging partner.
My recall is simply amazing and I can sit "on a dime" (that is the silliest saying ever!). My foster family and I are working on down - something I am not fond of but realize I need to learn.

Do I sound like a perfect dog for your home??? If so, please contact Alberta Animal Rescue Crew! http://www.albertaanimalrescuecrew.com/

Gotta run.......I hear the food hitting my bowl! (YES and I will remember to sit first!)
